Home Care Aide (HCA) 75-Hour Training Program
The 75-hour Home Care Aide training program is structured as follows:

Core Basic Training – 54 Hours
Covers essential caregiving skills, including communication, personal care, infection control, safety, body systems, and activities of daily living. -
Orientation and Safety Training (ORSA) – 5 Hours
Introduces the caregiving role, workplace expectations, and foundational safety practices. -
Dementia Level 1 Training – 8 Hours
Focuses on understanding dementia, communication techniques, and behavior support. -
Mental Health Level 1 Training – 8 Hours
Provides knowledge of common mental health conditions and appropriate caregiving approaches. -
Nurse Delegation Core Training – 9 Hours
Prepares students to safely perform delegated nursing tasks under supervision. -
Nurse Delegation – Special Focus on Diabetes – 3 Hours
Covers blood glucose monitoring and diabetes-related care.

State Testing Prep
